A street on the edge of the Kazimierz district of Krakow. It is the old jewish quarter of Krakow. Our apartment we stayed in was in the pink building and was really lovely. This district was at one time a separate town from Krakow where Jewish people moved into, they were then forced to live only in this district in Krakow. When they won the right to abode, many chose to remain in Kazimierz and in the early 1900s was apparently quite a happening place.. until they were forced into the ghetto in Podgorze, across the river.
