BIESIADA FILOZOFICZNA
We spent most of the past two days exploring Prague and travelling to Kraków. There is no other words that I can think of to describe these two cities than incredible, beautiful, and different.
Prague was full of bustling life and seemed more like an older New York City.
But Kraków, Kraków is full of secrets, secrets that I feel Poland is sharing with me. And although Kraków is not the bustling tourist attraction of Prague, it holds a part of European culture that I haven’t found anywhere else.
I feel at home here, more like a visitor or a guest rather than a tourist.
I was exploring the square in the center of the city and in the background, I heard the soft music of a piano from a restaurant in the center. In that moment, I felt complete in my body and soul. I started dancing mindlessly and wandered around the square.
In that moment, I never felt more complete in my life.
Now I’m sitting in my hotel room, looking over a castle, a clock tower, and a rather quiet intersection, all illuminated beautifully for the people of the city.
And for now, I am one of those people.
Day 17 (4th April 2015) It’s Holy Saturday! So I decided to travel home for holidays, this time it meant walk in rainy Ljubljana towards Krakovski nasip - street by the river and Krakovska ulica - one totally village/suburbs-like little street in the centre of Slovenia’s capital. And well, that was very long shot but with this lovely sticker on the street name I actually felt like home!
For those who don’t understand Polish: this side of Ljubljanica seems to be supporting Cracovia football club, not Wisła.
Happy Easter!
